Jewellery & Watches

Fine jewellery and luxury timepieces through Galnuv, our Montréal partner. Bought, sold, traded, and made to commission — authenticated before anything reaches you.

The Partner

Galnuv

This is the one line in the house where the expertise is somebody else's, and we'd rather tell you that than pretend otherwise. Galnuv is an established Montréal jewellery and watch house dealing in fine pieces and luxury timepieces, shipping worldwide.

What Maison Odyssée adds is the same thing it adds everywhere else — one point of contact, a brief taken properly, and terms written down before money moves. If you're already flying with us or arranging a car, the piece is handled in the same conversation.

What's Possible

Four ways in

01 · Buy

Sourced to a brief

Tell us the reference, the budget, or just the occasion. Pieces are located, authenticated, and presented with condition stated plainly.

  • Luxury and complicated timepieces
  • Diamonds, chains, rings, and bracelets
  • Specific references tracked down on request
  • Condition and provenance disclosed in writing

02 · Sell & consign

Placed with real buyers

A piece you no longer wear is worth more through a private network than through a shop window. Valuation first, then a route to sale.

  • Valuation before any commitment
  • Consignment into a private buyer network
  • Outright purchase where you'd rather not wait
  • You set your minimum — terms agreed up front

03 · Trade

Part-exchange

Move from one piece to another without liquidating first. Both sides valued openly so you can see exactly what the swap costs.

  • Watch-for-watch and mixed trades
  • Both valuations shown side by side
  • Balance settled either direction
  • No obligation to proceed after valuation

04 · Custom

Made to commission

When nothing on the market is right. Designed to a brief, quoted before work begins, and built to a stated timeline.

  • Engagement and commitment pieces
  • Custom chains, pendants, and signets
  • Stone sourcing to specification
  • Design approved before fabrication

Authentication

Nothing is shown to you unverified

The second-hand watch market runs on trust and gets abused for exactly that reason. Every piece is examined and authenticated before it is presented — not after a deposit, not on your word, and not on the seller's.

Condition is described as it is, including the parts nobody volunteers: service history, replaced components, polish, and whether box and papers are actually present.

If a piece can't be verified to our partner's satisfaction, you never see it. That's the whole point of buying through a house rather than off a forum.

How It Runs

Brief to piece

01

Tell us what you're after

A reference, a budget, an occasion, or a photo of something you saw. Selling instead? Send photos and we'll come back with a valuation.

02

Sourced and verified

Options presented with condition, provenance, and an all-in figure. Nothing moves until you've seen it in writing.

03

Delivered discreetly

In person in Montréal, or shipped worldwide, insured. No public listing, no announcement, no reference to you anywhere.

Questions

Before you ask

How do I know a piece is genuine?

Every piece is authenticated by our partner before it is presented to you, and its condition is disclosed in writing. If verification isn't possible, the piece isn't offered — we'd rather lose the sale than hand you a question mark.

Can you find a specific reference?

Usually. Give us the reference and the configuration you want and it goes out as a sourcing brief. Scarce references take longer and we'll tell you honestly whether the wait is weeks or considerably more.

What's my watch worth?

Send photos, the reference, and whether you have box and papers. You'll get a valuation with no obligation to sell, and no pressure afterwards.

Do you ship outside Canada?

Yes, worldwide and insured. Customs documentation and declared value are handled properly rather than creatively.

Is a custom piece more expensive than buying?

Not necessarily — you're paying for materials and labour rather than a retail margin. You get a quote before any work starts, and the design is approved before fabrication begins.

Is any of this made public?

No. Purchases, sales, and valuations stay private. Nothing is posted, tagged, or referenced without your written permission.
